* First of all, Bonny means beautiful! It is our goal to build dependable

* And, Bonny was the name of our loving and dedicated Black Lab.

We recently lost Bonny shortly after her 12th birthday on the 4th of July.

She brought so much joy into our lives, and it is our hope that

* About Catherine Blake

* After studying commercial art and computer science in upstate New York

* my beautiful wife Cathy launched a successful career in the tech industry,

* while still managing to produce countless paintings, drawings, photos,

* carvings, and more other incredible pieces of art than I can remember.

* I am blessed to have her talent and creativity onboard, not only as my

* co-designer on all projects, but now as our in-house Artist and Carver.

* About Bill Blake

* I have been passionate about guitars since a very young age.

* After playing for 27 years, working as a professional painter and

amateur woodworker, and building electronic projects as a ham

radio operator, I decided I should be modding and rebuilding guitars.

* This was in 2000, and this kept me busy and happy for many years,

working on my collection, a few for my friends, and at the same time,

building a small demo recording studio in my home.

* Unfortunately, in 2013, we lost our home in the Black Forest fire.

* I lost all but the first guitar I rebuilt, my 1998 Fender MIM Strat.

* After relocating, I decided to rebuild my little studio, and equip it with

high quality instruments.

* Rather than buying from others, I began building them and putting my

name on them. This was the start of Built by Bill Guitars.

* After 10 years of building for myself, my family, and my friends,

I am pleased to offer my knowledge, my skills, my services, and a few

of my favorite creations to the general public (That's You!).
